Importance of Umrah in Islam
Umrah is the beautiful Sunnah of our beloved Prophet (ﷺ). Umrah can perform in any month of the year expecting
five days of Hajj (9 Zil-Hajj to 13 Zil-Hajj), Umrah may not allow in these days.
Umrah begins to wear pyramids, Tawaf.
After Tawaaf is the next step, when it is done with sa'ee, men should shave
their heads and women trim their hair. After fulfilling that condition pilgrim
will be able to put off Ahram and Umrah is
completed.
Umrah is important in Islam.
ALLAH (الله) says in the QURAN about this
person who does not perform Hajj and Umrah.
“In it are clear signs [such as] the standing place of Abraham. And whoever enters it shall be safe. And [due] to ALLAH (الله) from the people is a pilgrimage to the House – for whoever is able to find there to a way. But whoever disbelieves – then indeed, ALLAH (الله) is free from need of the worlds.” (Surah Ali Imran).

Our beloved Prophet (ﷺ) stress the importance of Hajj and Umrah. Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (RA) narrated
that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said that you are doing Hajj and Umrah again and again
because poverty or sensitivity do not come close to a Muslim who performs Hajj
and Umrah and also purifies him from sins. Hajj and Umrah purifies the Muslim
as Smith Gold purifies gold from iron and sliver. The reward for Hajj Mabro is
only paradise. (Tirmidhi). Another Hadeeth quoted
in Ibn Majah about the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) says:
"A person who circumambulate the House of ALLAH (الله) and do perform two rakaat of prayer, would take reward is equal to freeing a slave. (Ibn-e- Majah 29-56)
