Cruising around the Kaaba seven times, which starts from the Black Stone (black stone around one corner of the Kaaba) counter clockwise. Each cruise operation is completed when a person returns to Black Hagar. If possible, the person should approach touching or kissing the black migrant, and if not, he can only point towards him with his right hand.

After completing the warp seven times, the person must continue to move clockwise until it reaches the exit point.

Types of Tawaf:

There are seven types of Tawaf;

Tawaf-Ul-Qudoom:

It is carried out when a person arrives in Mecca for Hajj, Umrah, work or visit. It is also called welcome cruise. The Sunnah of Afaq (who lives outside Makkah) who perform Hajj is emptying or Hajj Koran, and it is not Sunnah for those who perform Hajj or Umrah even if they are horizontal.

Aisha said, “The first thing the Prophet (ﷺ) did on reaching Mecca, was the ablution and then he performed Tawaf of the Ka`ba and that was not `Umra (alone), (but Hajj-al-Qiran).”

Tawaf-Ul-Ziarah:

It is also called corner or cruise Hajj. Performed by all pilgrims who make Hajj. This circumambulation is mandatory. Hajj will be invalid, if it does not lead. It can be performed from the dawn of the X-pilgrim pilgrimage to the 12th Zil-Hajj.

Tawaf-Ul-Wada (Tawaf-E-Sadr):

It is a farewell tawaaf and performs as a final ritual for Hajj when a pilgrim leaves Mecca. It is obligatory.

Prophet ﷺ said: “Let none of you leave Makkah before making a Tawaf around the Ka’abah, as the last of Hajj rites”

Tawaf-Ul-Nafl:

Nafl Tawaaf is an optional Tawaaf, but it is better than performing Nafl prayer. It can be performed at any time as desired. Perform Tawaaf as much as you can, when in Mecca because you cannot get this privilege anywhere in the world.

Tawaf-Ul-Umrah:

Tawaf Umrah is part of the Umrah and performs as Umrah rituals. It is mandatory for those who perform Umrah.

Tawaf-Ul-Nazr:

If a person pledges that he will perform Tawaaf if his desire is fulfilled by ALLAH. Then, he must perform this Tawaaf if ALLAH fulfills this desire.

Tawaf-Ul-Tahiyaah:

It is executed when someone enters the sanctuary. Cruising the chef is mustahabb.

After Tawaaf, a person must present two units behind the shrine of Abraham (if possible, otherwise they may offer links from two units anywhere in the mosque).
